3D Advertising

The Future Is Now...blah blah blah. Whether we like it or not, the 3D element is going to take over more than just our movie theaters. Advertising happens to be the type of business to jump in front of the band wagon.

(Actual 3D advertisement for Volkswagen Jetta)

(Back to the Future II "Jaws" advertisement)

I really am Not a fan of the whole 3D scene. They are already coming out with game consoles and televisions that don't require the special glasses. That just makes me wonder what kind of ride the advertising world is about to take. I found this article discussing how Grand Central Station will be placing a big expensive TV in the middle of the station with 3D glasses available so that passerby's may watch if they please. Excluding the extremely disruptive action of going and acquiring the glasses, I think that this entire market is going to ruin us. Our vision, imagination, you name it. I am personally not a fan of where this is going.

I'd like to hear everyone's opinions on the matter as well. Am I crazy?
